Spooning with Rosie
by Rosie Lovell
FOOD & LEISURE
Deli-café owner Rosie Lovell’s first book is much as you’d imagine her to be: relaxed, casual, enthusiastic and, above all, willing and ready to feed hungry friends and friendly strangers on a budget.
The recipes, many of which are the signature dishes of those closest to Lovell, offer something of a culinary world tour. There’s risotto Milanese, Vietnamese salad, Moroccan salsa and sweet laksa with udon noodles. However, they all share a common ability to fill and comfort – and occasionally seduce. This is a thoroughly enjoyable trip into Rosie’s world. And who could find fault with someone who sings the praises of The Pooh Bear Cook Book?
